Most inaccurate internet quiz ever?

Is it just me, or is this internet quiz that purports to be able to “tell who you are in 20 questions” roughly the most inaccurate quiz ever designed by anyone ever?

I saw a link somewhere or other and zipped through the questions and . . . well, I do have brown hair. If you call “so dark it’s nearly black, and now graying besides” brown.

But otherwise? A teenage male who lacks confidence: not so much.

Anyway, mildly amusing how wildly wrong this quiz was for me. If you take it, does it get anything about you right?

    Took it and wow. Nope.

    1. You are female. (This one is true)
    2. You are currently in your mid 40’s. (27 in a month, so nope.)
    3. You are raising a beautiful family, you have a career you’re quite pleased with. (No on the first, yes on the second)
    4. You’ve recently started volunteering in your community. (No and also ???)
    5. You are taller than average, you have gorgeous dark hair and beautiful brown eyes. (HAHAHAHA, I am under five feet tall. I do have dark hair, but my eyes are blue/grey/green, definitely NOT brown.)

Some other internet quizzes of the “which character from X series/tv show” variety can be quite fun. This was just ridiculously bad.

I know, right? What part of the quiz could possibly tell your *hair color*??? And in general I like silly internet quizzes.

  3. Laurel

I love these ridiculous quizzes, but this one was completely off: I am not blond, male, in my mid-twenties, or have a temporary job. Good for a laugh, though!

Hi, Laurel — yes, that’s why I posted it. I’m curious to see what happens if any guys take it. Will the test peg them as female? It’s gotten the gender wrong for (so far) three out of four of the women who I know have taken it.

  5. Craig

It got my gender right, but almost everything else was various degrees of wrong: I’m not yet in my fifties and don’t have a wife and children. Or grey eyes.

Thanks, Craig! Male sure seems to be easier to get than female. In contrast, the ages are off for EVERYONE.
